Just Be Encouraged

I just want to start off by saying thank you CSS for giving me the opportunity to share my testimony with everyone. It is my hope that it will encourage those that read this blog. I am a Christian whose faith has been tested countless times in the past seven years. There have been times where I was at my lowest. I would lie in bed at night and ask myself why these things were happening. I would then see my peers around me appearing to be doing much better than I was doing. Music, specifically Gospel, got me through those sleepless nights where I cried and had many questions. You will be surprised how one song can provide you with an abundance of strength and build one’s faith.

I’m not going to spend too much time talking about myself. I just want to give some encouraging words to those that feel as though life is too hard, and there seems to be no way out. Or that no one understands the depression or heartache one is going through. The enemy will attack those that he feels are harder to get on his side, and will continue to do anything and everything to get that person.  Although my faith was tested by many trials and tribulations, I never gave up hope that God is with me and will see me through these tough times. I was taught a while back to never look at someone else’s life and wish that I had that same life.  No one knows the struggles that a person goes through to get where they are currently.

Someone once told me that it is not about how you start but it’s about how you finish. Even though in the beginning it might seem as though there is no triumph, only God knows your tomorrow. I believe and have faith that my tomorrow will be better than my right now and this keeps me moving forward. I know that God’s plans for me are greater than I can imagine. I want to encourage every reader that times may seem tough, but trust in God and trust that his timing is the best timing. Be strong because the enemy will disguise itself in many forms to trick and deceive you. However, when you are consumed by the word of God nothing and no one will be able to harm you. God bless!
